Portraits, 1983 to 2018

McNeil was commissioned by various tribes and Indigenous organizations to make portraits of elders. Some of the projects were “Percent for Art” work (a percentage of building construction was set aside for installing art). McNeil has gratitude for doing this work because many of the Indigenous elders are now gone.
