Fly by Night Mythology, 1998 to now
The work is about Cadillacs, street signs, beat up typewriters, the nothingness between the stars. It’s about people, it’s about nobody. It’s about Raven studying ornithology. Curiosity and the sublime scientific interpretation of shiny objects rules all else. There is no destination, it’s all journey. It’s about being able to fly by night.
The work could just as well be images chipped on cave walls, sculpture, painting, video, or finger paint. Sometimes I laugh myself awake from a deep sleep. This is an insightful about my work as anything else. I know that there is hope for the world, because my little toddler does
the same thing.
