Tonto gets cheeky. What the heck, if you had all of the absurd experiences he's had, you'd be a bit on the impudent side too. In an endearing way, of course.
This Tonto lithograph is titled "Native Epistemology" and was made as part of the "Migrations: New Directions in Native American Art" that was primarily sponsored by the Tamarind Art Institute at the University of New Mexico in 2004. I was one of the artists juried into the project and the print was a collaboration between myself and the wonderful master printer Frank Janzen from the Crow's Shadow Art Institute.
